The greatest event of this month should be the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Although officially it has already been released, the stock is quite shortage in the market. However there is already a lot of review about introducing this new mobile’s specification, performance and the value. I think a lot of people are already familiar with the specifications, so I don’t want to list all the points out again. What I want to talk about is something Note 7 is special in – Iris Security, OLED Display, and its waterproof ability.
Samsung Note 7 Back View
One of the point that you buy Note 7 is the S Pen. Samsung has added even more features on the S Pen, including the ability to highlight text with it, ability of magnification, translation, and other features that make you feel like writing on your notebook. Apart from this, there’s also a new feature in Smart Select that lets you create an animated GIF out of any (non-DRM) video playing on your screen (or anything going on screen in general). You can use the S Pen to write and to draw. Samsung definitely would like consumers to take the Note 7 as the most appropriate device for a mobile working device.
Samsung has moved its HDR technology to be applied to Note 7, which is normally only found in Samsung TVs. HDR screen displays a wider range of colours with deeper blacks and brighter whites. Normally people will debate Apple iPhone has the greatest display. I am not yet sure what the exact performance of Note 7’s display actually would be, but from the official speech – Samsung now said that Note 7 has the world’s best smartphone’s screen. Well, I cannot made any conclusion on that. However, for sure, I need to say the display of Note 7 would be much better than the Note 5.
Waterproof Samsung Galaxy Note 7
The IP68 rating means the Note 7 will be well equipped for both dustproof and waterproof up to 1.5m in fresh water for up to 30 minutes.
In another word, if you drop it down the loo or get caught in a rain shower, your phone would still be functional. If you spill a pint over it or something other than clean water, then you might not be so lucky. Waterproof has some limitation though. We do not recommend you yo throw your phone to the water and test it intentionally, but if you let water move in accidentally, like washing hand in the washroom, then this can be a protection for your phone.
Samsung Note 7 Iris Scan
Lastly, how can we forget Note 7 is a mobile equipped with the Iris Scan Security. The registration process takes around 30 seconds, then the phone unlocks in just a couple of seconds when you hold it up to your face.
For sure, it’s an additional form of security that banks and other financial institutions may be interested in, but it’s not going to be for everyone, as it already warns that contact lenses and glasses can cause problems with the scanner.
Galaxy Note 7 offers the widest color gamuts for current content, the highest peak brightness, highest contrast rating in ambient light, highest screen resolution, highest (indefinite) contrast ratio, lowest screen reflectance, smallest brightness variation and viewing angle. DisplayMate found Note 7 having major improvements in almost every test comparisons against Samsung’s previous flagships, including the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S7. Why the wait?
